Conference Championship Games

4 December 2008 Posted by David 209 views 2 Comments

There are five NCAA Conference Championship games going on this weekend. The two most important ones are the SEC and the Big 12 championship games because they have BCS Championship Game implications. Most experts will tell you the winner of the SEC Championship game will go to the National Title game, and Oklahoma will be a shoe-in if they win their Conference Championship game.

Here are this weekend’s matchups:

MAC Championship
No. 12 Ball State vs. Buffalo
Vegas Line: Ball State -15

SEC Championship
No. 4 Florida vs. No. 1 Alabama
Vegas Line: Florida -10

Big 12 Championship
No. 20 Missouri vs. No. 2 Oklahoma
Vegas Line: Oklahoma -17

ACC Championship
No. 25 Virginia Tech vs. No. 17 Boston College
Vegas Line: Pick ‘Em

Conference USA Championship
East Carolina vs. Tulsa
Vegas Line: Tulsa – 13 1/2

Does anyone else think it’s funny that the Florida Gators are 10 point favorites over an undefeated No. 1 ranked Alabama team on a neutral field? How does that work!?

This is going to be a great college football weekend. So many awesome games to watch with so much on the line. If you’re wondering why you don’t see the Pac 10 or Big 10 on the list, it’s because they don’t play conference championship games.
