NFL Pro Bowl Rosters Announced

17 December 2008 Posted by David 536 views No Comment

The National Football League announced this year’s Pro Bowl starters and reserves. The New York Jets led all teams with seven Pro Bowlers, including quarterback Brett Favre, who will be in his 10th Pro Bowl, but his first representing the AFC. There will be six each from the New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans in the game, to be played on Feb. 8 in Honolulu.

This will also mark the first time in history that quarterback-playing brothers have been chosen for the same all-star game. A lot of fans gripe about the Pro Bowl just being a popularity contest and the most deserving players sometimes get left out. However, this year I think the fans and the NFL got it right. One of only snubs this year is Atlanta Falcons defensive end Jonathan Abraham, who has 15.5 sacks. He has been the star the 9-5 Falcons’ defense.

Below are the complete starting rosters for both the AFC and the NFC. If you think someone was left off the starting rosters, leave a comment.
