Valentine’s Day Tips

5 February 2009 Posted by Chancel 1,235 views 2 Comments

Guys – Valentine’s Day is February 14th, next Saturday to be exact.  This leaves you a little over a week to start planning that romantic night for your Lady Love.

Just like any holiday, there are certain do’s and don’ts you should follow to ensure your sweetie is not disappointed.  I have listed them below to help you out.

Do’s

1. Think outside of the “box” of candy.  Something as easy as baking her favorite cookies goes much farther and earns you some extra points.

2. Switch out the shot glasses of whiskey for flutes of bubbly.

3. Splurge a little by purchasing long stemmed roses.  Be aware that the colors mean different things: red-love; white-heavenly; and yellow-friendship.

Don’ts

1. Wait until the last minute to get a card.  It results to slim pickings of V-day cards in espanol.  Get a head start and go no later than Wednesday.  This gives you plenty of time to find that perfect card…in English.

2. Buy a giant stuffed animal such as a teddy bear.  This is only acceptable if you’re in middle or high school.

3. Give your Valentine a private dance in red thongs.  There is an unspoken rule…men’s underwear should never be the same cut as ladies’.  Oh yeah, part b of that rule is they should never be edible.

Have other ideas or advice?  Let us know!

In reference to the don’t… Valentines day cards in espanol could be played out to be something planned. You know, being that spanish is a romantic language. Just make sure you know someone who can read spanish or make suer she knows no one that can read spanish.

    Just saying…

Good point FSU…it could be planned, with roundtrip tickets to Costa Rica enclosed.

I believe French is the romantic language however.
