Where Will Terrell Owens Land?

The Dallas Cowboys recent release of superstar wide receiver Terrell Owens shocked the NFL nation. Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones isn’t saying that the release if a result of any locker room antics or poor chemistry with team mates. He’s not saying it… but we all know that’s why Owens got the boot.

Owens has played for two other teams, the 49ers and the Eagles. Both teams released him because he’s a “locker room cancer” or “quarterback killer”. There’s no question he’s one of the best WRs to ever play the game, but for some reason he just can’t get along with his teammates. Either he’s calling them names, throwing them under the bus, or working up conspiracies.

Owens agent Drew Rosenhaus has indicated that he won’t be out of work for too long. Allegedly several teams have already started negotiating contracts. But which teams are they? I think he might be on his way back to San Francisco. When the topic of Owens came up during his interview on KNBR in San Francisco, 49ers general manager Scot McCloughan simply said, “We don’t close any doors.” They desperately need a WR, and it would be nice for him to finish his career where it started.

Where do you think he’ll land?
