The best golfers in the world are headed to Bethpage Black this week for the 109th U.S. Open. Tiger Woods will tee it up on Thursday to defend his title against the likes of Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Angel Cabrera among others. You probably remember last year’s U.S. Open. It had one of the most dramatic finishes of any golf tournament in history. Tiger Woods battled Rocco Mediate with amazing shot after shot and forced an 18-hole playoff on Monday to claim the trophy.

One of the things I love about Bethpage Black is the New York crowd. They are an enthusiastic, rowdy bunch. Watch a few minutes of the gallery on 18 and you’ll likely see the wave a few times. These golf fans will show up in their favorite golf gear and rock the course. Players can’t stand it.

So, who do you think is going to win this week? It’s always tough to pick the winner of a Major golf tournament, but I just can’t see how anyone can pick against Tiger Woods. He recently won the Memorial, is the reigning U.S. Open Champ, and won the 2002 U.S. Open that wa also held at Bethpage.
