This is the final week of the NFL preseason. The regular season kicks off in Pittsburgh when the Tennessee Titans travel to Heinz Field to face off against the Steelers. NFL analysts and “experts” have been rolling out their Super Bowl predictions over the past week or so. Generally you’ll hear the same few teams be mentioned. Few “experts” take a chance and name a sleeper team.

The Arizona Cardinals were not considered a Super Bowl contender prior to the 2008 season, but they got hot at the right time and charged through to the big game. The same can be said for the New York Giants in 2007. Tom Coughlin almost lost his job before the season started – then he beat the undefeated New England Patriots to capture his first Super Bowl.

This afternoon I asked our Twitter followers who they think will be in Super Bowl XLIV in Miami, FL. Here’s what they said:

@Mountaineer – my superbowl predictions: Eagles vs. Ravens .. Eagles win 24 – 17

@mkw70 – Steelers will win their 7th ring this year!!!!!

@snookfisherman – Dolphins vs 49er’s

@helix1999 – Packers vs. Steelers

@LydiaBarling – Jacksonville will win the Super Bowl this season!!! #jaguars

@snookfisherman took the biggest risk with his prediction, picking two teams under the radar. I tend to agree with @helix1999 that we’ll probably see Green Bay and Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl, however, for the fun of it I predict that the Houston Texans shock the world and win the AFC.
