There has been some talk the past few days about the Big Ten exploring expansion in the next 12-18 months. My guess is they would look to add one team so they’ll finally reach 12 teams. Then they can split the conference to two divisions and have a conference championship game. It will add an extra game to their schedule and make the conference more appealing. The PAC-10 is another conference that should look at expansion.

At 13-0, the Colts have earned homefield advantage throughout the playoffs, while the Saints still have the Vikings on their heels – but at this point it looks like the Saints will wrap up homefield too.
