The Dallas Cowboys, along with the Detroit Lions, play football every year on Thanksgiving – it’s become part of America’s yearly tradition. Tonight the Dallas Cowboys hosted the Oakland Raiders in front of 85,000 fans. The Cowboys were favored to win the game by 13.5. The bookies got this one wrong because the Cowboys won by a final score of 24-7.

A few years ago, high school basketball players used to be able to go straight to the NBA after their senior year – if they were good enough. Guys like Kevin Garnett, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant did it. But the NFL never allowed this. The game was too violent, the players were too big. Imagine an 18-year-old going up against someone like Ray Lewis. Well – I think it’s time for the NFL to make an exception … for this 6-YEAR-OLD!
Have you ever seen a football player turn his career around more than what Vince Young of the Tennessee Titans is doing right now? I thought Brett Favre might be the comeback player of the year, but if Vince Young keeps this up he’s going to win it hands down. Young became the starter in Week 8 after the Titans bye and has since won 4 games in a row.
Week 11 of the NFL has all but come and gone (there is still a MNF game tonight). The playoff picture is starting to take form with most of the division leaders pulling away. Two teams that stand out above the rest are the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints – both teams remain unbeaten.
Every sports blog and sports news outlet is talking about Ricky Williams today. In case you missed it, Ricky rushed for 119 yards last night against the Carolina Panthers and scored 3 touchdowns in the game. Williams was moved to the Miami Dolphins starting lineup because of an injury to Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown.
Can you believe college basketball has already started? Sometimes I get so wrapped up in football that basketball seems to slide under the radar until the Super Bowl is over. I live in SEC Country, so you can probably understand why football dominates all sports down here. Those of you in the Northeast or ACC Country likely have college hoops in your blood.

If you’ve been watching the NFL this year, odds are you’ve seen some funky uniforms. This is the 50th anniversary of the AFL so a lot of teams are wearing their throwback AFL uniforms. It was awesome seeing Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans wearing an old Houston Oilers uniform. One of the craziest uniforms of the year were the ones the Denver Broncos wore a few weeks ago. They had these ugly brown jerseys and crazy black and white socks. Let’s take a look at some new alternate jerseys I’d like to see.
It’s hard to believe the NFL is halfway over and college football is only weeks away from their Conference Championship games. Where does the time go!? With the seasons winding down, it’s time to watch as much football as you can. Get it all in before it’s too late. In today’s post we’ll take a look at some of this weekend’s best games – the games I’m looking forward to watching.
