This weekend was all about the Super Bowl!  If the exciting game between the Steelers and the Cardinals wasn’t enough, I am certain these surrounding moments combined with the Big Game was.
 
The performances were top notch.  Former American Idol contestant, Jennifer Hudson looked great honoring our country.  It was the artist’s first time hitting the stage since her recent tragedy involving her family.  The standing ovation from the 60,000 plus fans was approval that this “Spotlight” singer, has been missed the last couple of months.

The 2009 NBA All-Star Game in Phoenix is scheduled for February 15 at 8:00 PM EST. Of course the NBA isn’t about just one single exhibition game, they put on a 3-day All-Star Weekend, complete with a rookie challenge, skills challenge, slam dunk contest and three-point shootout. It’s a can’t miss weekend for any NBA fan.

Mixed Martial Arts is one of the fastest growing sports across the globe. On Saturday night, UFC 94 was held in Las Vegas. The premier fight was a rematch between two of the leagues best pound for pound fighters, BJ Penn and Georges St-Pierre.

The Super Bowl is not only a time for football, but also a time for gatherings with family and friends. When everyone is together watching the game, there always has to be a nice platter of food! Mike from Football Fanatics talks to you about his famous tasty mini-burgers.

Over the course of a season, fans will witness one or two dunks that will go down in history as some of the greatest of all time. In the past week or so, we’ve seen ben graced with two spectacular dunks. These aren’t dunks from a competition or all-star game when players aren’t trying. These dunks are from live moments in the game.

The first dunk comes from Weschester Country Day School. It is a double alley-oop dunk. Looks like a designed play to me, but awesome to see it done in a live game.

The NBA just released their rankings of top 10 most popular jerseys since the start of the 2008-2009 season. A lot of these guys have been all-stars for years, however, I was surprised to see a rookie on the list and another surprise entry. The list is ranked in order from No. 1 to No. 10.
