2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver

The 2010 Winter Olympics are only a few weeks away. The games will be held on February 12–28, 2010 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This will be the second time Canada has hosted the Winter Games. Some of my favorite Winter Olympic events include downhill skiing, snowboarding, hockey (I love that they use NHL players), ski jumping and bobsledding. Bobsledding is fun to watch because it is so dangerous – they shoot down those ice tracks going so fast… one wrong move and they’re in big trouble.

Over the weekend, Gator fans were hit with some shocking news. On Saturday evening, Urban Meyer announced that he would resign as head coach of the Florida Gators football team, citing medical issues. The entire nation was shocked. The AFC and NFC teams will be announced on December 29 on the NFL Network. In today’s post, I’ll go over my top picks for each position.

Week 15 of the 2009 NFL Season is in the books (except for tonight’s New York Giants vs. Washington Redskins MNF game). We saw some amazing plays, shocking comebacks and historic days from players and teams across the league. The playoff picture isn’t much clearer – there are still six teams in the AFC at 7-7 and fighting for a Wildcard spot.
