Meet the bloggers…

That’s the tag line for one of our newest Fanatics-themed sports apparel sites, LadyFanatics.com.
Launched a few weeks before the Mother’s Day holiday, the site focuses on products of interest to women sports fans and features college, NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and NASCAR team fan gear.
The site design is a break from the bold text and high-impact colors of much of the sports world and even many sports apparel sites. In an effort to appeal more to a woman’s eye, LadyFanatics.com theme uses light pink, mauve and gray as well as lighter-weight fonts and subtle graphic touches.
The site was developed with a healthy amount of feminine input and has already gotten a good deal of positive response from customers as well as high praise from some of the women on staff here at Football Fanatics.
“I’m not really a ‘pink’ person,” said Sara Casale, a Football Fanatics buyer.”but coming here and seeing the colors tells me it’s tailored for women. It draws me in and it’s a site where I’d go to shop.”
Shoppers looking for a specific team can use the portal boxes on the home page broken out by league and each featuring a drop-down team selector.
Each league box is also clickable and takes the shopper to a special league page featuring a list of teams. This should make for an easy-to-navigate experience whether the shopper has a specific product in mind or just wishes to browse the store.
We’ve also used the opportunity to merchandise some special shopping groups for specific items of interest to women.
Three of the shopping groups focus on women’s products by brand and feature ladies gear from adidas, Nike and Reebok. The other two groups focus on product categories and are self-descriptively named “Ladies Hats” and “Everything Pink.” Shoppers can find links to all five groups prominently displayed near the top of the site.
Like many of our Fanatics-themed sites, shoppers can also reach the complete line of the Football Fanatics products through the menu bar at the top of the page just below the title-header.
Feel free to check the site out at www.LadyFanatics.com. We’re always interested in what you think, so let us know your thoughts in our comments section on this blog post.
