Spring is around the corner. And the trends are already out there, especially at Surf Fanatics thanks to buyer, Eric D. In an interview with him, he talks about his buying experience, personal style, as well as what’s to come in the next few weeks at surffanatics.com. Check it out…
How long have you been a buyer? About 15 years
What is your favorite job task? Picking out color assortments and styles for each season
What is your least favorite? Entering everything into the system. It’s very time consuming.
As a buyer, you must be pretty trendy. Describe your style. Pimping surf: jeans and a t-shirt. I switch it up sometimes though, and swap out the jeans for khaki shorts.
What would you buy with $100 at Surf Fanatics (SF)? A new pair of Electric sunglasses, mine are all scratched up. I like the Electric Charge Black-Clear Fade.
You have $15 more. Oh yeah, I’ll add the Paul Frank Elf Sock Monkey. Its $22, but I’ll spend 7 more bucks on it. That little guy is cool.
On a scale of 1 to 10, rate the selection of SF compared to other online surf stores? 10 of course! We have the best selection by far.
Some are the female trends seen on New York’s runways during 2009 Spring Fashion week were one shoulder dresses, bright colors, maxi dresses, and skinny jeans. Will we see some of those trends available at SF? Yeah they are already there and more will be arriving daily.
Although there are never any real trends for the guys, stretch fabric board shorts and soft fabric tees are really big. Oh yeah, and short board shorts are coming back. So start adding squats to your workout boys!
